Today, I made an attempt to be nicer to customers at my job as instructed, which resulted in me listening to a handful of elderly people's incontinence issues, and a meth-addict's multiple abortions in detail. FML

It depends on where you work. As a physiotherapist working in a mental health unit, that's my bread and butter listening to incontinence issues and some other weird stories. However, good on you for listening. They feel appreciated and wanted just being listened to.

I'm going to guess you work in a pharmacy? People always assume that Associates have the expertise of the Pharmacist, and that the Pharm is a doctor. I feel for you.

Well that might kickstart a psychology job...if your face can change...

So did anyone else think of Pennsatucky from OITNB as the Meth addict with multiple abortions?

i don't feel bad for you because i get th3 same. thing. its q gift that people can br so open with you

So you're saying being nice to people is a bad thing? My god, being nice is not bad at all, and you can make new, great friends who support you and help you when you really need it. Also, good friends aren't jackasses, they bring you up, and they do what they think is right for you, so you can go ahead in life.
