i met my boyfriend via deviantart and i can safely say neither of us are sad, friendless, or unattractive. i never planned on ever meeting him (we lived in different countries and i wasn't interested in any kind of online 'relationship'), but then i ended up actually moving to the UK and just figured 'why not?'. ffs, it's 2009. meeting people online isn't pathetic.
I totally agree with you. Besides it being sad and pathetic, it's dangerous to meet people in real life if you met them on the internet, dating site or not.
I met my wife on the internet too shitface too all the others who say it's pathetic: get a life, get laid or stop being a christian!!! **** it *walks away*
wow... this sucks friend. I bet you had a friend around too, one that was warning you not to say it. You should have just listenened to him.
People use sites all the time to help find matches for themselves.
People who never bother to try dating online always think it's "sad" or "pathetic" and then when they try it most of them change their mind. That's not a coincidence.

One out of eight marriages last year were people who met online. I met my boyfriend online and we've been together for over three years and are now engaged. What's your way of meeting people? Going to bars? I think that's a little more sad and pathetic.
In your defense, I used to think the same thing. Then I went on a date with a guy I met online who seemed like he had some potential. He was by far the biggest douche bag I've ever met in my entire life. I think it fails more often than it works out, but it still works for some.
