4 times... wow... twice... okay, but 4? Anyway, it sucks that that is the first impression they have of you, but let's hope your boyfriend clears your name, and the next time you meet them concentrate on being extremely careful, as to not further damage your reputation.
and glassware.
I hope his parents have a small dog. small animals mixed with clumsy people always make me laugh
This happened to me! except i knocked down the crystal glass twice. once a wine glass, and it shattered. the next time, a shot glass, and i spilled all the wine inside.
how does nervousness translate to drunk? Ive been both plenty of times, and they're very different attitudes. its easy enough just to mention that you're kind of nervous. I would think that any parent who dated or had a social life of their own can understand. either that or they're just asses, in which case you shouldn't worry about impressing them so much anyway.
you must really like this guy...
#7 agreed. It's easy to tell the difference between nervousness and drunkeness. It was rude of her to call you out like that. That's going to be pretty awkward meeting them again..if there is a next time.
#7, after spills numbers 1 and 2, it gets kiiiiiinda old, Im sure. The mom will get over it.
