Today, I missed points on a math quiz because I thought 2 times 5 was 20. I'm a math major. FML

You were probably tired. it happens to the best of us. I once absentmindedly asked if an airplane was 50 miles long.

Meh, once I wrote that a triangle was 360 degrees because the four corners add up to 360

Everyone makes mistakes...but at some point in your life, SOMEONE should have told you to double check your work.

I made a stupid mistake on my chem test once, I put down the valence of silver as 2 and it screwed up my whole answer... the stupid part isn't the mistake though, it's the fact that he gave us a sheet with all the valences on them, I just didn't bother checking it because I thought I had it memorized.

Been there. I thought 1-1 was still 1. Calculus is easy. I still fail at Algebra though

Whoever says you're a math failure don't know what they're talking about - and clearly doesn't know that higher level math doesn't even have numbers in it. I'm a Math Ph.D. at Princeton and also make calculation mistakes - adding and multiplying numbers is not what Math is about :)

Umm, if you're a math major and you're taking a test, why would 2 times 5 be on there?
