Today, I missed points on a math quiz because I thought 2 times 5 was 20. I'm a math major. FML

You were probably tired. it happens to the best of us. I once absentmindedly asked if an airplane was 50 miles long.

Careless mistakes is what I call them. Or just not paying attention. It happens to all of us. One time, in calculus, I saw the word "average" and immediately thought it meant the average y-value of the function (yes, I even solved the whole integral before realizing my mistake) when in fact, it simply meant the average rate of change. I was lucky to have changed my answer in time on that exam.

Well good luck with that dream.

If your a math major, then were did 2 times 5 come from??

When you major in something that's so tedious, it's easy to get caught up in big formulas and mess something easy up, don't worry about it.

I have no doubt you know the advanced formulae and equations, it can be easy to forget the simple stuff. Don't sweat it.

I accidentally put that eleven minus five is sixteen, once.

I've made careless math mistakes too.
