Today, I moved in with my brother to save on a swanky apartment. I was skeptical as to how this would work out as we fought a lot as kids. Our first big fight? Whether or not to keep his dorm-style futon complete with Return of the Jedi sheets. He's a 35-yr old physician; I'm a 28-yr old lawyer. FML

keep it man! I bet that thing just radiates awesomeness! the only way it could be better is if it had star trek pillow cases. or pokemon!!

if the op moved in with his brother, even if he came later, he still has a say in the decor cuz he prolly pays for half the cost. and chics dig nerds any way so what does it matter?

Your brother allows you to move in and you start whining about his couch? Seriously, YDI for being an ungrateful twat. :/

Well what I noticed is that they should bolth get married I mean 28 and 35 is prety old to be mouving in togeather as brother and sister I mean hell the brothers more then half way to getting retired he shouldent be living with his sister. And is they are lawyer and physician shouldent they be able to afford their own appartments? I'm not too sure about this FML

1. In what country do you live? 2. At that age, they're probably just out of LAW SCHOOL and MEDICAL SCHOOL and paying back student loans. A cheap medical school sets you back about 40,000 X 4=160,000 just for tuition. Before you add living expenses and junk, that's pretty expensive. At 35 depending on his specialty,he may not be done yet which means he's not making that much money and STILL paying student loans. Same for Miss Counselor: law school isn't cheap 3. Even if they are "balling" or whatever, they live in New York and I'll assume the city because she said swanky. A loft in NYC can set you back about 2K depending on the part of the city. Imagine how much a full apartment costs them. 4. With the above taken into consideration, wouldn't it make more sense to save money and move in together?!!

Oh and NOT EVERYONE has to get married. Just because they're 28 and 35 doesn't mean they run off and get married. Question you should think about: Are they financially viable/able to take care of a family at this point? Maybe you're one of those idiots who get married and have babies because Uncle Sam will help out financially
