Today, I moved into a lovely basement suite. Unfortunately, the 12 year old upstairs plays violin. She also plays baritone. She said she alternates each day. FML

The violin won't be bad until she gets older and starts working on solo performance material, until then you will hardly hear her. But once she gets better at it it'll be a real treat to listen to her play. The baritone is what you should be worried about.
