Today, I moved into a lovely basement suite. Unfortunately, the 12 year old upstairs plays violin. She also plays baritone. She said she alternates each day. FML

I switch between baritone sax alto sax pian guitar bass and keyboards...we should be embracing it and proud she wants to be a musician not a **** or a pop star or something

You're assuming that she plays badly - OP didn't specify, nor did OP mention they had actually hear the kid playing She could have been playing violin since she was 5 or something.

Well, if it's on FML, it's either one of two things: a) she sucks b) she's practicing early in the morning. Also just because someone has been doing something since they were young that doesn't mean they're good at it. My aunt has been singing since she was young, and guess what? She sucks.

Is she any good? I know violin sounds horrible but I have been playing baritone for over a year and it can sound pretty good when played right!

i play the trome bone and trumpet. by the way when you play the baritone it does sounds pretty good.
