Yeah, this is where you take the key from them and give it to a more trustworthy person. They have no right to just barge in unannounced whenever they feel like it just because they have a key to your apartment. They need to understand what privacy is, and that this is your apartment, not your bedroom at their own house.

Or, rather, you have a fetish for giving _family_ members the _key_, so you can feel the fearful thrill of having _family_ walk in on you? Kidding: Don't bother getting the keys back from your family. If you can afford it, change the locks. Don't give a key to that person, or to any of the people who watched them unlock your door, and who walked in with them, using your key.
