Your girlfriend is the biggest moron ever. First of all, you NEVER give people pets as presents, especially not surprises, especially not something like a dog, which requires a LOT of responsibility. Also, if you keep the basket covered, it's going to suffocate. You at least need to have a mesh blanket that has little holes so it can breathe, or have it pulled back a bit at the sides so it can stick its nose out. What a moron.
