It just occurred to me that had this actually happened to me, I would have been tempted to say, "I have a steel rod too. Are you able to arch?"
I have metal rod in my back too!! It doesn't really help with my posture... =/
lol she probably hates the rod(s) she has just as much as i do mine. people who are saying its weird to compliment a persons posture, why? its not much different than complimenting some ones new hair style or beautiful eyes or something. weird as it may be when i used to do massage i'd compliment the customer on having a nice spine. simply because i'm jealous of it x.x; they're lucky to have a spine that looks like " l " instead of " S " and i make sure they're aware of it x:
It sucks that she was bitchy, but that's a really random thing to compliment. Also, maybe she's the kind of person who's uncomfortable getting compliments from strangers or about things she can't control. I'm the same way. People always tell me I have nice teeth and it's weird.
who does that???
Yeah I have four down my back, people comment on my posture all the time, I just say thank you geeze what a a$$hat

She says metal rod in back, I say wooden stick up ass.
you should've smiled and winked and said "oooh, so THAT'S your secret." *nod, elbow nudge* like you're part of some kind of special, elite straight-back club. pat them on the back and walk off.
