Today, I posted a Facebook status about how I hoped to spend the rest of my life with my boyfriend. A couple of hours later, I saw a comment on it saying he'd never done anything bad enough to deserve that kind of torment. Thanks, mom. FML

OP here. My mom is super awesome, and it was actually really funny. I just thought sharing it with FML would be fun. :) As far as the status, it wasn't an attention thing, I was just remarking on an elderly couple I saw walking the mall and wanted to post about it. The bit about my boyfriend was just an add-on.

I personally think this is funny. It's def something my mom would do. But, I told my boyfriends mom the same thing, that I wanted to spend my life with him.. She then told me, "you'll never be good enough for my son." She was being serious and it was in front of his whole family.

I could so imagine my boyfriends mum saying the same thing if I said that. We've been together for well over a year and practically live together plus we have been through so much in our relationship so far and always stuck together but she still won't accept me. As long as the couple are happy though it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks :)

Why would you ever post that on Facebook? If you truly feel that way, tell him. The only reason to ever broadcast that is if you get engaged (ps don't propose on Facebook), overly sharey couples are obnoxious.
