Lol damn, that sucks! Ayee, but shitt happens(:
And that my friend, is when you pretend to be blind too.
There's only one sign language gesture that you need to use with door-to-door salesmen, and it's fairly universal.
Hope that isnt a part of their basic training xD
This one time a salesman rang my door and I said to him that I wasn't interested and tried to shut the door but he put his foot in the door -_- if you guys think getting rid of these people is easy then think again.
I always answer the door dressed as Ronald McDonald: costume, big shoes, makeup; the whole shebang. When I answer the door, I act completely normal, and listen to their whole spiel. If they're able to still advertise without giggling, fumbling their words, or looking at me as if I'm deranged, then I'll actually consider their offer. If they can't, I simply interrupt them, smiling, and say "McFuck off!" and then slam the door in their face.
"Unless you're about to pitch a weekend getaway with a couple **** stars, you really don't have anything I want." Works just as well on salesmen as on religious types.
That's a more than disrespectful to deaf culture on your part.
Lol got owned.

Good God. They're evolving.
Pretended to be deaf, end up looking dumb... Sounds about fair.
