Today, I put on a pair of sneakers that I'd left outside, and went jogging. After several minutes of pain, I pulled off one of the sneakers, only to find dozens of baby spiders had moved in. FML

Check your old underpants for the momma spider

That's why you don't leave stuff outside.

Anyone else just have a chill run down their spine?

Thought I was the only one...

Yes! I'm actually always afraid of this happening with my shoes...

Yes ... I think my fear of spiders has just turned into a phobia.... Fantastic

I've seen a bunch of movies and I read a bunch of comic books when I was a kid, so I'm almost positive you're a superhero now. I suggest you jump off a tall building or try running through a wall immediately.

I suggest you listen to DocBastard, after all he is a doctor.

I think that'd be copyright infringement doc

Congratulations, 81. Looks like you're a ******.

Gross! At least they didn't bite you..? Spider bites are the WORST. D:

Obviously they did bite. Hence the pain mentioned in the story.

I doubt the pain came from the spiders biting him. What I do know though is that a pair of sneakers doesn't make good running shoes.

Since OP mentioned he went running, I thought it'd be safe to think he squished them, and was just feeling pain because of the friction..

This reminds me of this story my friend told me about a cockroach infestation. In an apartment :0

My foot instantly started to cramp I have no phobias but just think of the possible venom or disease

You must have not gone jogging for quite some time if a spider was able to lay its eggs in your shoe(s). That's my guess for the pain part. The spider hatchlings were just an unwelcome and unpleasant surprise. FYL

I was about 11 when my mom discovered an empty spider nest in the corner of my metal bed frame. That was how we figured out the source of my bumpy, itchy ankles.

My parents found a brown riclous (sp?) spider/nest behind their bed, the night after they were both bit. They went to the hospital a few days later when the tissue around the bites started turning brown/purple and dying. for some reason they gave my dad antibiotics but my mom didn't need it. Not sure why?
