Today, I realised what kind of man I married when I finally shelved his book, "Getting Things Done", still untouched 3 months after buying it. FML

Bill gates once said he will only hire lazy people, so maybe he'll end up making a lot of money?

I can relate to this on a level I'm not very proud of.

Were you married at first sight? Did your parents arrange the marriage? Or did you just rush things? If you spent any time with him, and got to know him you'd know what kind of man he is.

No we didn't rush into things or something like that. My husband is a typical case of procrastination, thats why he bought the book..

Who reads books now a days? People are always on their phones

We all procrastinate a bit , leave the book somewhere visible to remind him . :) and positive reinforcement works too ;)

I suppose it's time for you to GTD in your marriage ...

My husband starts things but gets half way through, then starts another. And so on. So there are usually several half done things. That's especially odd when cleaning. Floors are swept, into piles in the middle of each room which are left and he's moved on to some other task. Then wonders why the piles get strewed around and has to sweep again. It's pretty funny actually.

Cute right :-) Of course I knew what kind of man I married, but since he was excited about buying the book, I was led to believe there might be some change in the air. The fact that the ook remained untouched kinda ruined that believe. But ah, we love them for who they are, even though the irony of this is completely lost on him.

He's procrastinating reading it.

I mean, that doesn't really mean anything. He could have just forgotten about it.

When a man says he'll do something, he'll do it. No need to remind him every six months.
