That's when she divorces him and takes half the money.
OP's husband sound like a guy full of faith and a good solid plan in his life.
Unfortunetly, faith and plans don't go your way all the time... he should atleast have a back up plan in life to live his current life... before he wins the lottery.
how do you know he doesn't already have a plan but is also planning for the lottery as a "what if". could always have a plan everyone else doesn't know about. including his wife for whatever reason.
If the husband had a real plan and the lottery was just a "what if", it wouldn't be an FML.
Start all your plans with "After my husband gets his future straightened out..."
**** your children
Well OP all I can think of is convince him to start making something with his life. Best of luck to you both!
What's wrong with an optimist?
I have no idea why you keep getting thumbs down, I happen to completely agree with you.
it's called logic and probability
If you love him, you made the right decision. Hope he wins soon OP.
**** that guy. I hope I win
Dreaming will only get you so far. Gotta work for it too. Hope his plans change and/or come true -for your sake and his.
My mom does the same thing. I don't really see how that's a bad thing.
It's a bad thing if you use it as an excuse to not work for a living or do anything. And it's still more healthy to have realistic dreams to work towards than just putting all your future desires up to luck and a prayer.
Ah. I came back to this FML and I noticed that I misread it a little bit. I didn't realize that OP's spouse was relying on the lottery. I also meant that my mom just fantasizes about winning the lottery. My apologies.
I wonder what that poor guys response to this FML would be. More like FHL
Does he at least buy a ticket?
