Are you close to a train station? I live in a shoebox, but it's in the heart of the city, close to transport and everything I need. I am quite happy with my expensive shoebox. You will miss that shoebox when you have a family and have to travel an hour each day to get to work. Really you will
That's true. I lived in a pretty small studio apartment while settling into a new city, and its location was awesome! Close to work, a big mall, supermarkets, farmers market, you name it. Only had to walk for about 300m to get a good coffee. Ahh, bliss. Now, I'm in a 2 bedroom house in suburbia and spend all my time cleaning the damn thing.
At least you don't live in the streets!
Wait, did I read wrong or misinterpret this wrong, cause the way OP makes it seem, is that there is carpet in the bathroom. 0.o Hmm.
Some people vacuum the bathroom floor for hair and fine dust, its a lot easier to vacuum then try and sweep. :)
Well, you're still living :)
NYC?
I have a 4 bedroom house. I can do the same with only 1 plug change.
be thankful for having a home
New York or San Francisco?
Major city? Not surprised.

You're paying for the luxury of not having to switch power outlets. You know how bothersome that is? And how costly it is to provide?
At least you have a place to live in
