Today, I realized that without fail, even if I'm not supposed to get it, I get my period just in time for vacations. FML

Being a female is amazing because your uterus automatically senses when the worst possible time to get a period arises...shame on you for not giving it a baby OP!! In all seriousness, they can come early/late due to stress or changes in diet and vacations usually have both :/ I hope you came prepared anyway even though it's an inconvenience

Mine seems to sense when a wedding is about to happen, even for my own. It's hard to think of love and blissful happiness when your uterus is trying to eat itself.

Me too!! Mine, which is always on schedule, was a week late just to be there in time. Ffs

I guess I got it lucky every time my period start it when I don't need to go to School like weekends or holidays but it bad timing for you sorry op

Just get yourself a menstrual cup. Since I switched from tampons I haven't had cramps and you can wear a cup for 12 hours at a time. It's made my period so much more manageable.

The stress/excitement of your holiday could delay it and then when you relax (because holiday) it decides to come. Sucks but it's true :/

If I get mine early, since I'm leaving for vacation in 3 days, I'm going to blame you for cursing me, OP. In any case, that sucks, and I'm sorry you're dealing with that inconvenience.

Try birth control. I'm on Seasonique and I will induce my period the week before vacation if I'm due to have it ON vacation. Another plus side is I only get my period 4 times a year! I make sure to always induce my period a week before big events like vacations and weddings.

When I was on the pill, I did the same thing. It was great! I knew for sure that I wasn't going to get my period on my wedding day (or anywhere even close to it!).

Mirena has all but stopped mine after 2 years. light spotting, just need a panty liner, for a few days every few months! And mine were always long and heavy. its not for everyone but has been great for me.

I've come to realize that mine always come when my in-laws are in town.
