I rear-ended an attorney once going about 1mph, barely touching his bumper. My insurance appeased him by paying for an alignment and then raising my premium for the next few years, recovering their payout many times over.

#5- I'm sure if you rear-ended someone because they decelerated to 10 mph on the highway in the span of a few seconds and you had on time to stop, that it would be considered their fault. Not that that would ever happen...
