Today, I received a call from my boss telling me that I have to get back to work or get a doctor's note, or I risk a disciplinary. I'm only sick because it's my job to look after kids. One had a chest infection and is incapable of covering is mouth when he coughs. FML

I feel you! I work with kids too and they are always sick with their fingers up noses and in their mouths. I wish they understood just how quick they get other sick like that!! Lol

The only reason it would be a problem getting a doctor's note is if you're not actually sick. If you're sick enough to miss work, most likely, you're sick enough to need to see a doctor anyway. Last 2 times I was sick, the doctors I saw wrote me notes for work without me even asking.
