People make mistakes, it is really unfortunate and sucks but everyone has bad days. OP could have triple checked but you don't always realise mistakes. I once booked an important meeting for the wrong month accidentally -luckily it was found out before so I could change it but it happens OP. Take care and please don't beat yourself up about it, learn from it and move on. I'm sure there are plenty of good things you've done, all the times when you've done things right, try to focus on that. And if it helps, google people who have accidentally messed up :) you didn't kill anyone, start a war or cause a big scandal. It is a problem and they will fix it. It will probably be something your boss can put on his cv as a time when he had a problem and had to solve it. Take care OP

You would think that the boss would have tried to prep for this event. If so, he'd have noticed the wrong dates well ahead of time. Can't deny this is slightly his fault too. He's a grown man and is responsible for himself- what he does, with whom, when and where he goes, etc.
