OP here. The bastard didn't even knock and left the package in a post office the other side of town, even though I live five minutes from a sorting office.

Happened to me a few years back. My mom sent me a package with some home decor stuff she didn't have room for and my birthday present. When UPS knocked, I bolted downstairs in a towel. Opened the door just in time to see the jerk sprint to the truck. He even looked me in the eye and laughed as he drove away. To top it all off, when I finally did get the package, I found that a piece of wall art that belonged to my long deceased favorite grandmother was irreparably damaged.
I had been waiting on a new phone. I had been out of town and the day I got back was the "final attempt" at deilivery, so I was on watch and ready to pounce. To add to it, there had been a storm in my area and my power had been knocked out (during the hot part of summer) so my son and I were outside on the porch trying to survive before heading for some a/c. I saw a deiivery truck go past and stop down the block. I checked on my POS phone and saw that I had been marked as "delivery attempted, no one home." Needless to say, I got on the phone, called and chewed some butt, notified them that their delivery person was a liar, and that I expected my package delivered, and soon. He was miraculously "back in the area" within a few minutes. No apologies, no anything.......just sign here. Jackass.

Yo that's messed up. I hate when they knock and only hang around for like 3 seconds before leaving.
That sucks, OP. I've found a lot of delivery drivers don't even bother knocking, and just assume no one is home during working hours, and fill out the slip.
