My mom never took my dad to court for him to pay child support because he ask to see me and my sister whenever he gets the chance. My mom and dad have a great friendship and my mom said that child support is degrading because most woman will sleep with other dudes, get pregnant, and then will lie about it to their ex-husband saying "Oh, I am pregnant and you have to pay child support". If a woman has a good paying job then she should not file for child support and if the woman is struggling on raising the child then thats when she should. Especially if the father is not visiting their child that they helped bring in to this messed up world. I for one believe that child support is like food stamps. Just my 2 cents.

It takes two parents to make the kid(s), so two parents should pay for the kid(s). It's not degrading at all to expect the non-custodial parent to pay his/her portion of child care.
