LimeyGoodteeth tells us more.
I am the original poster. It was an adult ESOL class. School policy - strictly adhered to - is that students can't be admitted if they are more than 5 minutes late and all students know this. Lateness is disruptive and disrespectful to other students. We all eventually had the cake later anyway!

Loll. I like how absolutely no one has replied to your comment. I like them arguing about what should be policy or not. Being a student is like having a full time job. How late will your boss let you be before it becomes an issue? How many times do you have to be late to get fired? Hahahaha....idiots.
If I were you, I probably would have mentioned the fact that it's school policy in the FML. This site seems to be populated mostly by teens and it comes across as douchey otherwise.
next time opem the door first and ask them why they're late.. don't just assume things..
It was my choir reacher's birthday today, and this sounds like him. I actually might be suspicious, but this fml is in the UK. And OP, at least you didn't make one of them wear a giant sombrero and stand in the corner. That's what mine does XD
You think that's bad my chorus teacher in high school would throw one of her high heel shoes at anyone that kept talking after slamming the piano keys.
bitch!
bitch!
oldest trick in the book
Did you get the cake?
haha we did the same thing but he let us in

that's why u always ask before u act..
That's what my cousin does. She shows up really late but she always has food for the teacher and says she was buying him food. Works like a charm. She is his favorite student.
