Burning bridges prevents a backtrack. But, chin up; forward is you're best option now. Hope your next boss is a better fit.
Idiot. Ydi
And the best part is, the button actually says YDI now! Woohoo!
how come you cant get a reference from your latest employer?
Just wondering.. Do you expect sympathy from here?
That's why you should never burn bridges
ask him anyways? maybe he'll respect you for calling him out...
Write a letter yourself and have a friend sign it.
...And then the recruiter for the possible new job phones the previous company itself to confirm working dates and check the reference, finds no reference letter was written, and blacklists that applicant from ever working there...
No matter how much you hate your boss, slagging them off with childish names is never a good idea. Good luck getting a reference OP, but with your attitude I'd doubt you'd get a good one anyway.

As anybody with a lick of sense knows, you don't ever do that to a former boss, no matter how ******* terrible they were. It's a little something called professionalism. Learn it
So you go back to him, get on your knees, and offer to return the favor. Is it basically pimping yourself out? Yes. But a man's got to do what a man's got to do to get a good reference.
