FYL but at least you can keep the nail and make a very very small amount of thermite!
You seem to be sadly unfamiliar with Murphy's law. Which basically sums up every FML on here.
Ydi for camping!!!!!!!!!
It's not an FYL or a YDI. Really. Just get the tetanus shot when you're done camping; you won't DIE if you don't. For those who think this sounds RIDICULOUSLY painful: A few years back, I was running barefoot through the sideyard of the childhood house my mom was selling. The house was 81 years old, and I assume the roofing nails were about as old. These were long, thick nails, and VERY rusty. As I ran, one impaled (note: this means it went all the way through) my foot. It wasn't an 'OMG THE PAAAIIINNNN I'M GONNA DIE FML' pain, it was dull; in fact, I didn't even realise what had happened until I stopped running at my destination and saw the nail in my foot. It was one of those 'Oh, well. Hi there!' things. It hurt more later, and only because I thought about it. But a razor nick feels worse, I promise you. To the OP: We waited quite a while to get the shot. Years later, here I am, fine. I have a scar, but no nasty tetanus issues.
You had to be either on drugs, or your leg was asleep. Or something. There's no way that whole thing is true.
Well, I was 12 or 13, so that rules out drugs. I couldn't have run if my leg were asleep, so that rules THAT one out, and...'or something?' Is that all you could come up with? Believe it or not (you obviously choose the latter), that story is indeed true. I can show you the scar if you truly don't believe me~ Now, I DID feel something in my foot on impact, but it wasn't anything I could call pain until I actually saw it, and even then, it took a while. You'd expect something like that to hurt a lot more; maybe that's why you don't believe me. I didn't, at the time. I find my story a bit more believable than OP's, on that note: What doctor sets up an appointment for tetanus? I just went to RediMed for mine. :/
Actually, when someone is badly injured, their body goes into what is commonly referred to as a "fight or flight" response. They don't feel the pain immediately, so that if they are in danger they have time to get away before collapsing. That's why when people break bones or a step on a nail they often say it doesn't hurt at first.
Irony, what a joker you are. I hope you feel better. :)
Ya think?

It just reading it... ouch. FYL, hope it gets better.
