Since you were on a cruise you have proof you weren't there, OP. They can't charge you without taking you to court, anyway. So worse comes to worse you have to go to court to clear your name.

Pen a letter regarding your whereabouts and innocence. Attach copies of your airline tickets and proof that you were on the cruise. Give copies of the packet to those in charge.

Walk up to the admins office with your itinerary and demand a manager or higher up to clear your name.

keep the proof to yourself, give only weak denials at first, wait until they are quite far along in the process, have actually gone through the trouble of bringing you up on administrative charges and involved higher ups at the school, that way the incompetent individuals involved can express their incompetence to as many people as possible
