I don't have much sympathy for people who wear $80 pants.

Geez, I don't understand people here. Wouldn't we all bend down and pick up ANY kind of coin we saw? Haven't you EVER bought some piece of expensive clothing? How do you know that this guy even bought the pants himself? Could have been a gift. Furthermore, I consider this a genuine FML because it follows an old saying: "the more you want, the more you lose"...

A. u got some crappy pants B. u are wearing pants that are way to tight or C. all the above and ur an idiot for bending over for a dime

FYL because it sucks to rip your pants. YDI because you paid 80$ for a pair of pants.

either you were wearing the wrong size of $80 pants, or your $80 were really shitty quality :(

If you're the kind of person who buys *pants* that cost eighty freakin' bucks, you deserve anything you get. Seriously, there's plenty of clothing out there that looks better, costs at most 25% of that, and won't rip. Your type of horrendously blatant materialism will always come back to bite you.

It depends on where the rip was, really. I'd probably just wear the pants anyways... I mean, it sucks to rip your pants, especially relatively expensive ones, but it's not the end of the world.

And since I can't edit my previous comment, as it hasn't yet bothered to show up on the damn laggy site, yes, all my statements go for whether or not they were dress pants.

YDI for buying 80$ pants. #54: Maybe to picking up a coin. No, to buying expensive clothing I'd rather buy several things for 80$ than one thing. And lastly, why would the op bring up that they were 80$ unless he/she paid for it them self? No reason.

If you can afford to spend $80 you should buy ones that fit... and that don't rip when all you do is bend down
