Today, I saw a dime on the ground. When I bent down to pick it up, my $80 dollar pants ripped. FML

I don't have much sympathy for people who wear $80 pants.

if you could afford $80 jeans, then you shouldnt have to pick up a dime off the dirty street. YDI

$80 isn't that bad, picking up a dime isn't that bad . . . but spending $80 on a pair of jeans without making sure they're good quality (or buying them too small and being in denial about your weight) . . . that's just stupid.

Ummm #24, do WalMart brand jeans really last that long? I have maybe 7-10 pairs of jeans, and some of them I've had for four years. I certainly didn't pay 20€ for them. I do occasionally buy cheap jeans, but not with plans to own them forever, because they really don't last that long... I assume the OP must have been wearing either slacks/suit trousers that were either getting on in age or a bit too tight (which doesn't mean the OP is fat BTW- I've ripped the seam of a pencil skirt that I wear at work once, just because it's... a pencil skirt. It's supposed to be tight, and if you're sitting and walking and bending down enough the threads are going to weaken.) Or else OP was wearing jeans from a company like Abercrombie, where they have pretty pricey clothes, that IMO are pretty cute, but they're ridiculously shoddily made - especially for the cost. ...wow. that was a TL/DR if I've ever written one. I didn't even mean to write that much

loose weight, and/or buy pants that fit.

I think your pants were too tight.

Don't wear pants that are too small then.

jesus, do all of you shop for clothes exclusively at wal-mart? it's hard to find nice jeans for less than that.

Not going to lie... I've never seen anyone wear well-made jeans that fit and have them rip. I've only ever ripped pants that I had outgrown or gotten too chunky for. Maybe you should become more mindful of your size. It's just a number, it doesn't define you.
