Today, I saw a wasp on the ground, apparently injured and unable to fly. It was being mobbed by ants and looked certain to die, so I stamped on the ants to save its life. At this point it sprung up, stung me, then flew off. FML

I am curious what code makes ants less worthy of life than wasps?

Why not step on all of them? They're all pests in my eyes.

Those "pests" literally support the ecosystem of the earth. You'd be ******* dead without them.

Thoreau would be very upset to know you killed his beloved ants.

Let nature take it's course. Survival of the fittest and all. . . Plus wasps eat ants, so you killing off all nearby food might piss it off.

Survival of the fittest is actually a phrase invented by Herbert Spencer to describe social darwinism, which differs from natural selection. They are not synonymous.

You must be a lot of fun at parties.

People who glorify mediocrity and stupidity are a buzzkill at parties. I, for one, commend hockeygoalie13's research.

Uh sorry dude... But this is why wasps are evil and always will be!

I would've just stepped on the wasp to prevent it from suffering any longer... Ants would've taken too long.

Did it ever occur to you that the wasp was trying to commit suicide?

Wasps are menaces. If it were a honey bee, fine, save it from the ants. But wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets serve no purpose that honey bees don't already cover without being aggressive assholes.
