What film?
I'm sorry, if you're gonna be in acting you should probably get used to that kind of thing.
Well 'Jersey girl... at least you won't have to act.
it is what it is, and you are what you are. so I guess you don't like being called awkward.
They picked you because they feel you can act the part, not because you ARE the part. If people took that stuff seriously there's a WHOLE lot of roles that wouldn't get taken. Every acting job is a foot in the door to bigger/better stuff, assuming you take it seriously, do what you gotta' do, and take the time to meet others on set. Quick advice: RESPECT ALL TRADES That's how people get "discovered"... they have a guy getting interviewed, or talking to his director buddy who says, "wow, ms. X was great to work with. She took her role really seriously and pulled it off. You should have heard the stuff she used mentally to get there.. She's not nearly as oddball as the character she protrayed.. that was all acting! Hopefully she'll go far!" Versus going to the set, hating yer life, and doing a sullen, crappy job with it, where the guy says "wow.. yeah she sucked.. she was WAY too awkward and ugly to act awkward and ugly! I dunno' how she ever got the part.. Guess they weren't real good at auditioning people.. what a lousy person to work with." Do your thing as best you can while rubbing elbows with the folks that could make your career take off.
Hey, at least you're an EMPLOYED fat, ugly, awkward girl. Some of us could be so lucky.
This is only an fml if you're a method actor.
Even if it isn't your favourite role, use it as a resume builder. At least you are booking work, and being scripted as ugly and awkward doesn't mean that you truly are... that is what ACTING is all about.
You must be a good actress then... Sure there are more ugly, shallow and whatnot girls around than stunners...

So based on what I'm reading, you're admitting that you fit the role perfectly with little to no makeup?
So what? At least you have a job. Stop whining and get on with it!
