Today, I spent hours playing my guitar and singing in the street, hoping to make some extra cash. About 3 hours in, I realized some punk had been walking around with a hat taking money as if he was with me. FML

Wow! That guy has balls to do that. There's this homeless guy that comes around my job's neighbourhood. He owns a dog that carries around a bucket in his mouth begging for money. He gets a lot of attention and cash!!! Do you own a dog? Just dropping an idea out there for your next cash collection. (:

Technically, it _would_ be stealing, whether or not he took the hat. What the other guy did wasn't particularly nice, but nor was it illegal, unless he actually said he was the OP's partner or something, or the location in question has laws against panhandling. Simply walking around with a hat and collecting money is perfectly okay, and the fact the guy took advantage of peoples' assumptions makes him kinda clever, even if he's a douche.

But it also means people really liked you music, if you do it again you can make a lot of money. (they guy who robbed you wouldn't have done it if you sounded terrible and nobody cared to give you money)
