Just a few points. - The ER for a sprain? That's slight overkill. - Yes, you technically could have sued that doctor for breach of ethics and privacy. - At least when you do something you seem to give it your all. That's more than a lot of people can claim. All that said you still pretty much deserve it. Ego fail.

I once sprained my ankle at school when I was 6, the teacher patched me up and let me go home early, my parents picked me up ofcourse. Went to the doctor the next day. I once broke some fingers due to a cycle accident, continued cycling to school and called my parents to take me to hospital, took Xrays there. Didn't go to ER. Fell while cycling one time, I was bleeding from my face, hands, arms, shoulders and hip, I had memory loss and my glasses were ruined. Called my mother to take me to the doctor, he just gave me a vaccine against tetanus and told me to rest a few days. I never went to the ER and neither should've OP.
