Today, I started a new job. The supervisor handed me a badge with the name 'Rachel' on it, which is not my name. When I told her this, she responded with, "I know, but it will be easier for the customers to pronounce than your actual name." FML

You got that from the show life with derick

well some people don't know how to pronounce "anonymous"

That's why you shorten 'anonymous' to Anon. :D

Ndndn is just not a Walmart name. sorry.

That makes sense. I have the weirdest last name for a white-british person, and i never expect people to know how to pronounce it (even though it is phonetically correct). Plus i don't expect non-western people/places to pronounce my first and last name right; which they havn't so far, but i'm never offended. And of course most the time people are too lazy to try and pronounce non-generic western names; but quite a lot of the time the phonetics of english can't acually accomodate the sound of a name, nor the accent that must be said with it. So people will always pronounce it wrong even if they try. FYL OP, but try not to get offended, people prefer familiarity. :-/
