Since it was your first day I wouldn't expect the boss to recognize your car. I would however expect that he would check to find out if said unknown car belongs to his newly hired employee before having it towed. FYL OP, hopefully your boss pays for the towing/storage fees. I don't know what to tell you if he refuses beyond maybe talk to your bosses boss (assuming he has one) otherwise I guess you'll be S.O.L.
Why should she have asked? She is an employee, She parked in the employee parking lot. There doesn't seem a whole lot to discuss there. It's very, very, very, rare that you get a sticker or something for your car if you don't work in a huge office of some kind. The boss should have considered the possibility that the unknown car belonged to his new hire and asked her before having the car towed.
