Today, I thought I'd wear my snow boots so I wouldn't slip on the ice at work. I crashed my car because I can't feel the pedals with my boots on. FML

When you first started driving you would have noticed you couldn't feel the pedals. YDI for not pulling over and fixing the problem (like going home and getting shoes you can drive in, or even drive barefoot)!

Its illegal to drive barefoot in Canada.

*gets in car* *puts feet on peddles* "oh no! i cant feel my feet! better go change my shoes!" ydi

This is why I take my heels off when I drive. If you don't feel perfectly comfortable with driving in the shoes you're wearing take them off/have different shoes hanging around. It may be frustrating but it's less of a headache than crashing.

Things like that just happen sometimes. Good job!

have 'driving shoes' no-one else has to see them!

I almost did this once... I pulled the car 5 feet down the driveway before deciding I needed my sneakers to press the clutch properly. YDI.

How is 'pulling the car 5 feet down the driveway' and 'crashing the car' ALMOST the same thing?
