I need a drink after reading that
You can do it, if you take it day by day. Find a sponsor who has what you want...and then follow their trail.
Wow your dad is so supportive, my sister is a recovering alcoholic I've been through her side through everything I know how hard it is the first step is admitting that you have a problem and you did that all on your own so be proud of that you are stronger than you give yourself credit for OP don't give up get the help you need for yourself good luck OP.
Could it be that your father is also an alcoholic? If you start facing your problems he might also have to admit to his own. Don't give up, OP. You're doing the right thing even if your dad isn't supportive.
I second this. OP I hope you can recover, with or without your father's support. He sounds toxic and I hope you won't let him affect your recovery!!
#34, I couldn't take you seriously, I was imagining a flying dick with rainbows coming out of telling me inspirational words.
Wow I'm sorry OP. Good for you to get help. It's better to look after yourself than to be the "life of the party".
in all seriousness don't pay attention what your dad said...
I'm sorry your dad is an enabler OP. Best of luck to you in your journey! It'll be a rough road but it can be done!
Good luck.
