Lmao
So, I'm going to go out on a limb. If you're at KU, the university really does have some good resources. Please don't let your problem get so bad you end up another tragedy like we've had recently. Seriously, go to Watkins and go to the counseling center, they'll help.
Wtf, How is this an fml? No one cares.
To get rid of a problem, you need to replace it with a lesser problem. I recommend video games.
Your dad is a real asshole! What kind of father would say that? If you know that you got a drinking problem why are you here? Go to AA. They can and they will help you. And you can't stop by yourself? That's bullshit! Get some discipline and stop drinking. Good luck.
That is a nice suggestion, you should take it on and see if it helps...If it doesn't then you can whinge like an emo.
You might want to look into alcoholics anonymous. Its completely free, but you can donate if you want. Its really helped me overcome my heroin and cocaine addiction.

if you are old enough to drink, you are old enough to check yourself into rehab
I have never seen such terrible advice for such a serious concern. Not trying to step on toes and may catch flak for the post, but alcoholism is a medically defined disease. It is beyond just drinking heavily. And while it may be fun in college, by the time you reach midlife, it is pure hell. For the poster, there are great facilities in Kansas. If this really is a problem for you that you can't just stop, continue the initiative, call them. I promise you, you won't regret it later when you look back on this. -CltCounselor
