Today, I told my parents I no longer believe in the religion they strictly raised me under. They responded by kicking me out of the house. I'm broke, jobless, and the only person that will take me in is my psycho ex-girlfriend who never got over me. FML

I'm all for standing up for one's beliefs, but if you knew your parents were that strict on their own, you should have at least waited until you were financially stable to say anything.

A "Christian" is not a Catholic, you morons. -Atari

You're not by any means the only one in that boat. But most of us have the sense to wait until a good opportunity to say so.

OP said nothing about them being witnesses. And JWs aren't the only ones who kick their kids out, and a lot of times they DON'T kick them out. Especially if they are young or don't have a job or anywhere else to go.

Yea um when I told my parents that Christianity wasn't working for me and that I was converting to Wiccanism, they didn't go that extreme. Just asking: what did your parents believe in and what do you believe in? And word of advice, try and have them understand. It will be insanely hard, depending on how forgiving your parents are, but talking with them is better than hating them for the rest of your life. For now good luck with that psycho chick!

Hey at least you can get some from the ex. Looks like all your getting is control issues from your parents.
