Today, I took a bike ride to enjoy the weather and stopped for a break on the sidewalk of an overpass, taking in the view of the beautiful hills. I was approached by a cop, who said to me: "Ma'am, I know your life is crap right now, but I'm sure it'll get better. Please don't jump." FML
I agree, your life sucks 56 444
You deserved it 5 250

Same thing different taste

Not an FML, and didn't even make me chuckle

That 'pep' talk was so generic... and stupid. It wouldn't have killed the cop to put a little more effort in trying to comfort someone. Did he at least have some sincerity in his voice? x_X

I wouldn't worry about it. He probably didn't know you, and using vulgarity is a strategy some negotiators use to make themselves seem on an even keel with whoever's suicidal/homicidal/whatever. Maybe he was trying to be funny.

This is hilarious! I don't see how this misunderstanding is a "FML" - I wouldve laughed!

you're an idiot and next time I hope you do jump so I don't have to put up with your humorous but pointless anecdote that really just seems to be a cry for attention but we still don't care

ahahahaha! I think that is delightfully nice of the cop!
