Wow, what the ****? It's funny as hell hahahaha!
Either the cop has a sense of humor (highly unlikely) or he was a ******* moron, like 99.95% of all government employees.
Excuse me, I'm elated to inform you that you are incorrect in your assumption of police officers. You should appreciate the fact that police officers risk their lives for you. My uncle is a police officer, and is far from a moron. I postulate that you assume the American police force is ignorant because you have committed an act which placed you on the wrong side of the law. As for all government employees, well I can not speak for them, but as for law enforcement I have always had a first hand positive experience, even though I have broken a law or two. My uncle would follow proper protocol even if I was speeding so keep your cop hating idiocy to yourself you narrow minded pinon. However, if you were not trying to be an idiot and insult the people who protect you as an American citizen then please, disregard my insult and have a nice day.
Well wasn't that lovely. This individual's rhetorical approach was to use higher level diction to seemingly gain respect of the reader. The problem with the argument, however, is the bias. I'm sure you've never had a bad experience with the police because you're under their wing thanks to Uncle Bacon. I, unlike you, have had many bad police experiences, yet I don't have so much as a traffic ticket. I have been stereotyped and accused, but all false accusations. Police look out for their quota, and really don't, as you say, put their asses on the line every day. They sit in their cruiser looking for someone, anyone, who is the least bit "out of line" (going 51 in a 50) so they can preach some nonsense bullshit about how it may seem small, but they're really "saving lives". Almost every officer I have met has such a superiority complex, it's terrifying that they've been given a gun and told to serve and protect. Yeah, the police are great...
The cop was nice to care, but that was rude to assume you were committing suicide. Wait wait wait wait... you said to f your life... because someone thought your life was f'd. o_0
Better safe than sorry. I mean that your life isn't any worse now that he said that, but he could have prevented someone from jumping.
