Today, I took my 15 year old daughter driving. I yelled at her for not going safely around corners. On the way home, while demonstrating how to drive right, I went around a corner and hit a cement truck. FML

I feel sorry for your daughter having such a shit teacher.

You really shouldn't criticize someone, especially your daughter, when the same thing could potentially happen to you. YDI

I feel like I've read this before... Except it was a garage door or something instead of a cement truck

You either need to be more patient with your daughter or get a driving instructor.....you are seriously causing her more stress just by yelling at her. She may not want to ever drive again after what you just did. When I was learning how to drive, my mom always yelled and screamed at me for every little mistake that I made. That is the reason that my dad mostly taught me instead of her.

karmas a bitch so be careful ;)

some parents don't realize that they are actually hurting their learning kids by freaking out over the tiniest thing, it completely distracts you from the road, drivers need to be calm. First I ever learned with my mom she was screaming and panicking before I backed out of the driveway, After that I learned with my dad ahahah

If they have gone through the class or whatever the rules are in their state, it's completely legal. I'm 14 and I drive with a permit.

No, actually at 15 and 1/2 years is when you start learning with a driver's permit. You must go through training, pass a written test, take 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, then when you're 16 and have had your permit for at least 6 months, you take another written test and finally a behind-the-wheel test. If you pass, you get your license.

wow. would you like to be the pot or the kettle?
