Today, I took my two kids to a Christmas festival with a train theme. I spent $24 on conductor hats for them. When I gave them the hats, they threw them on the ground and put the red paper bags they came in on their heads. FML

It isn't so much the miney spent, but they are unappreciative brats. At least this christmas, you can save tons of money buy just buying them a few paper bags.

If they liked/wanted the hats is irrelevant. Throwing them on the ground is inappropriate in any case. YDI for not teaching your kids any better. Poor parenting skills do not deserve any sympathy. Double YDI for looking for one.

I don't understand how they're creative, they're jst being kids. I think she should teach them the value of money. Im not looking at this from the lens of an adult, im a kid still. And the understanding the value of money is one of the better things you could instill with your children.
