Today, I tried on a new perfume. When my boyfriend hugged me, he commented that I smelled like his mom. I don't know who was more surprised by the simultaneous bulge in his pants. FML

I had a professor in college who is a marriage counselor. She talked to us a lot about how to get a man and keep a man. One of her suggestions is to find out what kind of perfume his mother wears and start wearing it. The familiar smell makes them feel safe and like you're someone they can trust. So don't see his boner as a "he wants his mom that's fuggin creepy" kinda thing... See it as you've reminded him of someone he trusts and loves and now he feels closer and more comfortable with you!

It is somewhat of a psychology thing. When children are little the always want to be with the opposite sex parent hence mamma's boys and daddy's girls. However they begin to know that the way they feel is not okay and that their parent who is the same gender as them would not allow it so they begin to identify or try to be like that parent.

Right on. My gf is 37, and a 'daddy's girl' for sure to this day. And he and I are pretty similar in how we view the world and act. I think it's one of the reasons she's attracted to me, among others.
