Today, I tried the 'Casual Encounter' page on Craigslist. Three hours, a bunch of spam, and a 30-minute call to some company, speaking to some lady I could barely understand to recover the $40 somehow charged to my card. I think I might want to try other ways to meet people. FML

I feel like, if you went out and asked out, I dunno, a coworker or something, you would have better luck. Or cats, cats help.

If you are dumb enough to give out your credit card number to someone who responded to a craigslist ad, how is that craigslist's fault? I've ****** a half dozen chicks off craigslist and I have never given out my credit card number.

That's not something I'd brag about. Does it burn a lot when you pee nowadays?

Gotta say, though, for the kind of person who says shit like "I ****** half a dozen chicks", there probably aren't many options besides craigslist.

There are plenty of sites for that purpose that are way less sketchy than craigslist.

craigslist isn't the worst way to meet ppl but if your gonna spend 40 bucks on it sounds like a prostitute/john situation.

Yeah you're better off without Craigslist. Too many crazy people and a lot of stories of that website turned me off. Try your local club or a place you like to shop

I'm sorry but that second "sentence" is bothering me so much

You must've done something wrong. I've never ever ever had to input credit card information on Craigslist and I've sold items, searched for roommates and housing. I've posted dozens of ads for those purposes and never used a credit card.

I really have no idea what to say to this...except CL is not the way to find a girl

But....But....you've soooooo many choices.

This is possibly the most YDI thing I've read here in weeks. Come on OP, just go to a casual dating site like OKCupid or something, or even Tindr.

100% YDI #1 Throw-away e-mail address #2) Never give out CC information. Any other questions?
