AA is a waste of time in the first place. Like another user said, the recovery rate of people who try AA is basically the same as that of people who tough out their own addictions by themselves. Their twelve-step program is nothing more than religious brainwashing disguised as an attempt to help people. On the contrary, it tries to psychologically break people by convincing them that they have no power over their lives. A coaster is a suitable use for their garbage.
