Today, I've reached the point in my life where the "Apply to affected area" label on acne cream essentially means I need to take a bath in the stuff. FML

OP here, I made an account to reply. To clarify a bit, I'm 19, so I've been dealing with acne for a while and have my face pretty well under control. I said I need to take a bath in acne cream because it's mostly my shoulders and back, and no amount of washing and scrubbing seems to help. Thanks for the funny comments and advice :)

Are you a teenager? If so that's completely normal so I wouldn't worry about it

Its a stage in life. It will be over soon.

I'm 24 and have been having acne bad since I was 10 and nothing really works :((

Accutane is banned in the U.S. I use astringent on my trouble spots every night and it helps a lot. You can use witch hazel instead if you find that astringent is too harsh though.

accutane is banned because it causes crohns disease. I would know because it gave it to me 5 years ago.

I truly hope I don't sound like some organic vegan health nut, but honestly the only thing that has ever EVER worked for my acne is the Oil Cleansing Method. I understand it probably won't work for everyone, but it's worth a try if nothing else has worked. Google it! And good luck :)

Accutane is the answer. Get a dermatologist & get on it. It truly works wonders.

Try charcoal soap. Works wonders for many people.

See the doctor.. Get medical help.. Don't think it's normal to literally have to bath in acne cream..

Something to help may be to start eating good foods not fatty foods as that's how acne can form. Sometimes a change in diet could help c: hope all goes well OP

Try using one of those Rough sponge loufas (possible incorrect spelling) when in the shower to deep exfoliate.
