Today, I walked in on my brother smoking weed. He immediately tried to hide it by dropping it down his pants, still lit. Screaming in pain, he pulled down his pants. The ashes burned his knob. I had to take him to the emergency room. FML

bluerhhajfk tells us more.

Apparently his friend gave him some to try. He's only 14 so I don't think he knew any better. He told me he was experimenting, and I think that's an okay thing to do so long as he learned his lesson. He is just a young stupid teenager. Moral of the story: Don't do drugs, kids. Or you'll burn your penises.

But.. what if we don't have a penis? Are we safe to smoke weed then?

Hopefully the burn rendered him sterile so this kind if stupidity isn't passed on. 14 or not, that'd still old enough to know better.

Kid's don't always learn until they try something for themselves. I believe that it's alright to experiment once with things, just to draw your own conclusion about why that certain thing is bad. Kids can't always be sheltered and hold to the values their parents hold to if they don't try whatever it is once to understand the value of not doing that thing again. I don't think wishing a life without children on the kid is called for because we All do stupid things when we're young.

So because he experiments he shouldn't have children?

It's not about the experimenting - the experimenting's fine. It's about the idiocy of having dropped a lit joint in his pants.

Well, fourteen year olds do stupid shit sometimes

145, you're either a parent, or speaking from experience... An excellent comment, I salute you.

BewilderedHooker, you do realise that alcohol has been outlawed before. And it let to an even higher consumption of alcohol. Cannabis is legal in the Netherlands, and, shockingly, their country isn't going to hell. Please get over yourself.

155, they're right though.. Nobody's ever died or had long-lasting negative effects from weed.

Uh.. Hello? It's ******* illegal.

183, I think it's being suggested that smoking a plant, in this case marijuana (ok, granted is illegal) has no long term, ongoing traumatic/detrimental effects, compared to say, tobacco (which is legal and also a plant)

Did you ever drink before you were twenty one? Do you ever speed? That's illegal too.

Just wanna clear something up. Pot is only legal in one place, which surprisingly is North Korea. All the other places, including Amsterdam, Colorado and Washington, have decriminalized the stuff. Not quite legal, but pretty close.

OP's brother's FML: "Today, my brother walked in on me while I was smoking weed for the first time. I tried to hide it before he saw, but the smoke from my pants gave it away. FML."

Some people think weed is like some hardcore drug... it's just a matter of time before its legalized in most states, I know plenty of successful stoners, including myself haha :)

This is like, the ultimate blackmail material

Haha, "drug"... Shake my head. Its not a "drug". Its a herb that grows from the ground; earth; soil... If you want to call a plant a drug and have it illegal then have other plants illegal.. The side affects, eat hella. Hunger gets what hunger wants. And when people say "i dont do drugs" wrong, you do, prescribtion meds.

Well that's completely false. The definition of a drug is a substance that causes a physiological effect when taken by any means, (smoking, swallowing, injecting or what-have-you.) By that definition, marijuana is definitely a drug, as is anything else that gives you an altered state of mind. Drugs can grow from the ground just as easily as they can be manufactured.
