Today, I walked in to my apartment to see my husband sitting there with his toes painted pink. When I asked him why, he said, "I wanted to feel pretty." This is the man who is about to be the father of my child. FML

Men can be pretty. Women can be handsome. I think it's awesome that your husband is secure enough to put pink nail polish on his toes! Just imagine how understanding and accepting he'll be for your child. My dad taught me how to shave with a bladeless razor when I was four, and in exchange I painted his nails sparkly purple. That's one of my favourite memories to this day. I shared it at his funeral. It never made him any less of a man, nor any less of a father.

I know what do you mean :-) Sorry for your loss

Your Dad knew how to parent, like a boss.

Thanks for your thoughts, guys! My dad was an awesome parent. He taught me how to be a gentleman, and he was never too busy to sit and colour with me or let me read him a book.

Why are you complaining OP? Most women want a man with a feminine side.

Nothing wrong here to me. He was probably just trying it out. He seems adventurous and creative to me.

You're a bitch. clearly he was having some fun. get over yourself

Be glad he felt secure in his manhood.... It might freak you out, but remember that even J. Edgar Hoover was a cross dresser.

FHL for having a bitch of a partner. How is that going to affect his ability to be a parent negatively at all?

How lucky your children will be to have a father who isn't bound to rigid ideas of gender.

When you look at the cost and side effects of toenail fungus meds, nail polish is a cheaper, safer way to conceal gnarly toes. Sounds like he's going to be a smart dad, and a great companion for your daughter. If you have a son, he'll definitely be ****** up, though.

Why? Because his son could turn out gay or possibly transgender? Breaking gender norms doesn't mean you'll have "****** up children"... Being different is a hell of a lot better then being 'normal' and I know your joking but your comment was offensive.

f HIS life for being married to such a closed-minded woman! I'd be proud to be married to someone who isn't ruled by nonsensical gender binaries...

Yeah, you're right - your children will now only have one decent parent. It won't be you though.
