I agree with the people above... why would they write a no-plate ticket on a parked car - don't plates get stolen all the time? And second, how would they know who to ticket?
sounds like karma to me
why didn't you think to call the station right then and report what happened? if you had done that, the cops would have a description of the kids (though nothing would probably happen because of that) and your ticket would have been voided. There would have also been several witness to back up your story. And this would be a FYL Since it appears you didn't do that, this is a YDI.
WOW!!!! Dumb asses #7 is right Yes, cops can give a ticket to parked cars... he meant parked cars for not having a license. Cops can't give a ticket to a car for not having plates unless it is being driven.. understand what you're talking about before you're a dick. I say it's fake as well....
I don't understand how people click "YDI" on things like this. WTF?!?!
You saw them take the hubcaps, radio and license plates off your car? Surely, in the time it took them to do that, you could've a) called the cops or b) chased them off before anything was stolen. And how did they get to the radio anyway? YDI.
#7 what? there are a lot of tickets that can only be given to parked cars.
Your car is registred to a licens so it should not be hard to get rid of the ticket... just show your licens paper and it will be gone...
Even if the VIN was not visible, the police could have used a wheel clamp with the ticket, so you would need to identify yourself before you could get the clamp taken off. I hope the OP successfully challenges the ticket. This is wrong.

How did they write you out a ticket with no license plates? Just a description of the truck? :/
sorry to hear that. so unfortunate can you fight that ticket? that seems like a legit reason, just hard to show proof
